Tips for a clean & even burn.
TRIM THE WICK
Trim the wick each time you light up your candles. This is the best way to get the cleanest + most even burn.
The flame should never tower over the jar or release black smoke. If this happens - its time for a snip!
KEEP IT LIT
Always allow the candles to create a full melting pool before extinguishing.
This will help avoid "tunneling" - which occurs when the wick burns the center of the candle without melting the edges.
AVOID DRAFTY AREAS
Breezes - Great for hairography. Disasterous for candles!
Avoid lighting up in drafty areas for a safe, even burn.
CLEANING THE JARS
STOVE TOP METHOD
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• A Pot
• 2-3 cups water
•Oven Mitt/ Heat Glove
• Sponge & Dish Soap
• Metal Spoon
Step 1: Place dirty jars in pot and add water to cover 1/4 of the jar. Do not let float.
Step 2: Bring to a boil on medium-high heat until wax is completely melted. Pour the melted wax in the trash can. Never pour wax down drain.
Step 3: Remove metal wick holder with the spoon & place in recycling bin.
Step 4: Wash the jar with hot soapy water & a sponge. Wipe any excess wax off with a paper towel.
You can now recycle or upcycle your jar! ♻️
Place all separated components (jar, lid, & wick holder) in the recycling bin.
All of our components are compatible with most local curbside recycling programs!
Ways to reuse your jars
